Dollywood with cousins

We or I decided to take the kids with their cousins to Dollywood for the day. We wanted to use our passes one last time before the year ends. Somehow I lost Corbin and Allie's passes. I looked everywhere and could not find them.

Thankfully, the people at Dollywood were so nice and looked their names up and gave them one day passes. I was prepared to just go ahead and buy new passes for next year, but I didn't have to. Yay!

The kids had so much fun. They rode a lot- no lines.

Allie's field trip to see the Nutcracker

I took a personal day to go with Allie on her field trip. It was such a fun day.

Allie in her pretty pink raccoon sweater.

Ha! Eric is enjoying me taking pictures!

Gotcha Corbin!

My love affair with peppermint got chocolate from Starbucks.

Allie loves watching The Pioneer Woman's cooking show. She asked for one of her cookbooks for Christmas. Is it bad that my 9 year old can cook better than me?

Lately

Allie dressed as a nerd for Halloween. She looked so cute!

My niece as a pirate. Corbin did not trick or treat. He ran around the neighborhood with friends. I guess 6th graders are too cool for trick or treat. Ha!

My crazy girl after eating one Sunday.

Random pictures!

It was Duck Dynasty day at school one day last week.

Allie played soccer Saturday morning and it was so cold.

Allie being crazy!

Eric and Corbin acting silly. We were eating at the Mexican restaurant not buying liquor. Ha!

Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Autumn Acreas. The kids had a blast.

On the hayride!

Looking for the perfect pumpkin!

Corbin was with his friends so it was impossible to get a picture. Allie took possession of our pumpkins. Crazy girl!
I need to get more pictures of Eric on the blog. I'm sure he will be thrilled. Ha!

Weekend trip to Pigeon Forge

We were originally going to try and hike some in the mountains, but all trails were closed because of the government shut down.
So, we went to Dollywood and the outlet mall.

They did not want to pose together, but Eric made them. Ha!

I tried to shop, but it was hard with these two. Eric did keep them occupied while I went into a couple of stores.

I saw this beauty! I would love to own her. Isn't she a lovely lady?!?

Corbin has wanted of these hats for a while. Go Broncos!

UT game and fishing

UT vs Western Kentucky

This was the only time they were not fighting. Ha!

Getting the face tattoo was her favorite part of the day!

They love fishing. Me, not so much, but I like watching them.

Homework

Both of my kids have had homework since school began.  It's not a lot - one hour a night.  But that has kept me from blogging.  Checking their agendas and homework, cooking dinner, etc, has not left me a whole lot of time for anything.

Both of my kids love school this year.   They are both changing classes - one in 4th and one in 6th.  So they have had a lot of responsibility on them this year.  Of course, the one in 6th is handling it better.  But my 4th grader is adjusting.

Next week, Allie starts soccer.  So we will add that into the mix.  I wish that Corbin would have participated in something this Fall.   But I am positive it will all work out.  He will play Basketball this Winter.

As far as my teaching this year, I have great kids.  I am teaching Algebra this year.  I have 18 intelligent students in Algebra that are keeping me on my toes.  My other students are also very smart.   I just pray the year continues on a good note.

Eric passed a very important test at work and received a promotion.  So he has been very busy at work - but extremely happy.  We are so proud of him.

Hopefully, I will have some time to blog more often.

Busy busy

With school starting, we have been so busy. I am glad for the routine. I seem to get more done during the school year than the summer.

I got my hair cut - too short. I am getting used to it. Everyone at school has complimented me. Which makes me think my hair looked bad before. Ha!

Allie got side bangs. She has loved flipping those around. She looks so much older with bangs.

Corbin started middle school and loves it. Allie signed up for soccer. I want to stop time or at least slow it down. They are growing up so fast.

This is before her side bangs. She had to buy sunglasses like her PE teacher- Mr Fisher. Ha!

My friend made me a wreath. I love it.

Allie modeling at Belk. She actually got very embarrassed - which is surprising. She is so outgoing. Yes, I bought the outfit.

We asked Corbin to model since he was there. He looks thrilled. Ha! He did meet a girl going into 7th grade. Ha!

So true!
