Toothpick creations

Today, in my math classes we did a hands-on activity with toothpicks. They created a figure with toothpicks and counted the perimeter. Then they changed the middle triangle to square, pentagon, etc. After we finished, I gave them 5 minutes to play. They had so much fun!
