Saturday Shopping!

Saturday, Allie and I got up early and went shopping. I got two new charms for my Pandora bracelet. We had lunch at my favorite, Olive Garden. Allie was so good. Its funny how technical children can be. She downloaded (free and with my permission) apps for my iphone. She can probably work the phone better than I can.
Corbin after his basketball game! He was annoyed with me for taking pictures. His team was going to Taco Bell to celebrate and he wanted to go! Boys!

TGIF

Friday night, Allie had a friend, Katie come over for a couple of hours. They were so sweet together. I also got to visit with her mom, Melissa. It was so good to see them again. The girls dressed up in costumes and put make up on each other. Then they watched a little bit of a movie. Finally, they made bracelets. I was worn out! I would love to have their energy!
Corbin trying to ignore the girls! Ha!

Kids Run at the Zoo

Corbin's afterschool program ran the 1 mile race at the zoo this past Saturday. Parents will invited to walk or run with them. Needless to say, I walked. It was so cold, but felt really good afterward. I desparately need exercise. Hopefully, this will motivate me to walk more or do something! Allie participated as well. I am so proud of both of them for finishing!

Corbin's birthday (continued)

Happy 9th Birthday Corbin!

Friday, January 21 was Corbin's 9th birthday. It doesn't seem possible that he is 9 years old. It is also scary that in 2 and 1/2 years, he will be in middle school. Luckily, he will go go the school I teach at - so I can keep an eye on him. Corbin wanted to go play laser tag and eat with friends. So Eric and I picked up 8 boys(2 met us up there), drove them to Knoxville to play laser tag. They played 2 games and had the best time. Their code names were hilarious. After they finished playing, we took them to McDonalds. They were such polite young men. We let them play for a little while in the play center. Yes, we checked the age requirement - it was 3 - 12. Well, this young lady - around 12 years old - hit Corbin in the face and kicked two other boys. They flew out of the play center to tell me. She heard them talking to me and came out. She said,"It was just a darn accident!" Yeah right! Anyway , Eric told the boys they weren't hurt and it was time to leave. My 4 boys watched a movie on the way back. Eric's 4 boys read ghost stories to each other! Ha! Corbin had a wonderful birthday party!

Cabin Fever

School has been out all week because of snow, so we were all getting cabin fever. We had made several trips to my brother's house to sled, but in bulky clothing, hair not combed, etc. I had to get out today and actually put on good clothes, do hair and makeup, etc. Eric wanted to go to Lowes to get a couple of things. He is going to start building instruments - guitars and mandolins.
So I headed to the mall. I took my favorite shopping buddy - Allie. Eric said a long time ago, I was creating a monster. I believe it. I had to set a limit for her today. Then she tried to spend my budget for me. I know she is really trying to be helpful - but she is so "not shy." Oh well, the Lord knows what we need and there are sometimes I need her. She is always honest, but she needs to work on being tactful! Ha! I never get taken advantaged of when I am with her. That girl speaks her mind!

Girl day with my Allie!

Since Corbin had surgery and wasn't feeling like getting out, Eric stayed home with him, Allie and I went out for a little while. I had to take a couple of things back from Christmas. We went to Panera Bread for lunch. I used my gift card I received from one of my precious students.

Then I took her to get her fingernails and toenails painted. She loved it!
