Family

We have had a great Saturday! Allie had a soccer game and scored! Go Allie!

Corbin was a lot of fun! He is crazy!

No pictures please! Ha! I saw 2 of my nieces! They are so cute and a lot of fun!

The only thing that could make it better is if Tennessee beats Georgia! Not sure if that's gonna happen! Lol!

OSMS Homecoming

Corbin's girlfriend was on the Homecoming court and even won Homecoming queen. He was so embarrassed to take a picture with her! Ha!

The red haired kid's face kills me! Ha! Such a ham!

Pretty girls. His girlfriend is in the silver dress.

Weekend Fun!

Allie had her 2nd soccer game on Saturday.  Her team is very good;they won 15 -0.  Go Cheetahs!

I am not very good at actions shots.  These were taken at the beginning of the game and after they had scored!

Allie taking a break!  Soccer is a LOT of running!  She was very tired!  But she played great!

Getting a picture of these two is very hard! Of course, I asked my "photographer"to take my picture.  Maybe next time, my eyes will be open.  At least, she got my head in the picture this time!  Ha!

Here is my self portrait shot - in the car - on the way to church!  Ha!

Pretty hair

One of my coworkers braided Allie's hair while I had bus duty. I so wished I could fix Allie's hair this way. It looked so good! Thanks Mrs. Amos!

What she wore!

I have been slacking on the dressing part this week.  I have had bus duty, late meetings, cheer practice - you name it.  Allie, on the other hand, has not.  She has worn her new pink and royal blue jeans this week.  I must say that she looked very cute!

Pink jeans - JCPenny, black shirt - Belk, Backpack - Vera Bradley.  She wanted to wear her silver TOMS, but it rained for days and I told her no.

This was after church Sunday afternoon.  Doesn't she look so grown up!  pink top - Belk, Black skirt - Cato.
She tries to help me in the morning!  Ha!  Sometimes I listen, sometimes I don't!  Ha!

So happy on the morning!

Allie is like her daddy and wakes up in a great mood. She sings in the car on the way to school. Corbin and I just scowl at her! Ha! We are not morning people!
Here she is walking in my school this morning at 7. I had bus duty and like to get there early. Corbin and I were sleep walking in and she was skipping in my school. Love that attitude!

New Photographer Please

I asked Allie to take a picture of me so I could really tell if my outfit looked good. That was an experience! I need an older photographer please. Ha!
She would get my head, but not my body. Then would get distracted and take pictures of the dogs or our neighbor's horse! Ha!
Here is the best one she took. I guess my outfit looked okay! Ha! A picture is worth a thousand words, right?!

All Grown Up!

I tell you, the years are just flying by.  I want to stop time because my babies are growing up too fast.  I am trying to get better at taking pictures, so I had Allie pose after school today.  She was all too willing.  Ha!  Even in 3rd grade, she is so particular about her outfits. She looks so old to me in these pictures. Oh, I love this little girl!

Isn't she styling in her Justice skirt, silver TOMS, and a Vera Bradley backpack.  Ha!

My little Daredevil

Allie had 2 birthday parties today. One was at a park; the other at a gymnastics place. Of course, Allie was excited about the gymnastics party. But she scares me to death. She climbed on the big bars and flipped off. I know there are mats and foam blocks, but it was a high bar. Here she is in action.

I really would not be surprised if this one breaks a bone sometime!

Five Question Friday

I saw this on another blog and thought it would be fun to link up!

1. What is your favorite fall family tradition?
We love going to corn mazes in the fall.  We love to go at night and get all bundled up.  Our kids are bigger up now that it makes it a lot of fun.  Sometimes we split up - boys against girls - to see who gets finished first.  Ha!

2. If money weren't an issue, how many kids would you have?
If money was not an issue, I would have 4 children.  I grew up with 3 brothers so my house was always chaotic and loud.  My husband is an only child.  So we compromised with 2 kids.

3. If you were to get a tattoo, what would it be and where would you put it?
I have never wanted a tattoo.  They are too permanent for me.  My husband did want one for a long time, but when he found out how much they were - he quickly changed his mind.  He is a cheap skate.

4. What condiment is a must in your house?
We have 2 - ketchup and ranch.  My son is a HUGE dipper.  He dips everything. He would be very unhappy without ketchup and ranch.

5. How did your spouse/fiance propose?
We knew we were going to get engaged.  I was not very patient.  So he got frustrated and just took my to the jewelry store to pick up the ring.  As soon as he got outside with it, he proposed.  Not very romantic at all.  Ha!

That's What Dave Says . . .

Of course, I am referring to Dave Ramsey of The Total Money Makeover.  Eric and I have been talking for years that we were going to set a budget and stick to it.  Well that has been going on for years.  We just waste too much money.  We like to eat out.  We like to buy our kids things.  I know that is normal, but we want to teach our kids some financial responsibility.  Right now, they think - if they want it - just go get it.

I am so afraid that when they get in college or after college, they will spend too much and get into debt.  I know we need to teach them now.  So, we are going to do what Dave says.  We set a budget and are going to stick to it.  We are going to start eating at home more.  We are going to pay off some things and try to pay cash for everything.

I know what Dave says works.  Before Dave got popular, my brother and his wife did something similar.  Now 3 kids later, they are in a great finanical situation.  Their house and cars are paid off.  If one of them were to lose a job, they would be okay.

I also have a friend from church that follows Dave's plan.  Every month, she gets cash out at the bank.  When it's gone, they don't go anywhere until the beginning of the month.  She said at first, her husband hated Dave.  Ha!  But now he is on board.

I just know something has to be done.  This weekend alone, I spent $111 at Food City and then $141 at Krogers.  What?!?!  We also ate out some.  It just doesn't add up.  I have decided I am going to write down every penny I spend so I can really see what is going on.  Hopefully, I will update and have lots of great things we have accomplished.  I want to be weird!

Well I did it!

I finally purchased some colored jeans.  I bought a golden yellow and dark purple pair at Ann Taylor Loft.  I love them.  I just hope I can pull it off.  Ha!

I have searched other blogs for ideas.  I want to try and wear something other than a black or white top.  I also finally bought some TOMS.  I had tried some on years ago, but wasn't sure if they were worth the price.  I stuck to black, even though I really wanted a print pair.  I figured black would go with everything.

I might exchange them for at least the black glitter ones.  These seem so plain and boring.  Of course, Miss Allie Kate got her a pair.  She settled for the silver glitters.

So cute!  She really wanted every glitter pair in the store!  Ha! But I bet these blue glitters will be her next pick.

Allie is just like me.  Eric better watch out.  Ha!
